To function on Florida highways, vehicles must have a valid license. How Can I Renew My Registration Online?

At GoRenew.com, FLHSMV offers a quick, easy way to renew a vehicle or vessel registration online. Via GoRenew, the following motor vehicle services are offered:

  • One or two-year renewals for registration of motor vehicles.
  • One- or two-year vessel registration renewals.
  • Options for payment: Credit card.

In order to update an online license, the customer must provide the owner of the vehicle and/or vessel with personal identification details in order to log in and complete the transaction. No registration will be given if FLHSMV is unable to check the valid insurance on the car or vessel.

Within 7-10 business days of the purchase, customers using GoRenew.com will obtain their Florida registration in the mail. An emailed confirmation receipt can be obtained by customers and can be used before the registration arrives in the mail. Customers must select ‘Yes’ on the payment confirmation tab, enter an email address, and click ‘Return Email Confirmation’ to email the details. For the overall transaction, a $2.00 processing fee is charged.

Can I Renew My Registration On My Phone?

Via FLHSMV’s mobile app, MyFlorida, customers can renew up to five vehicles and/or vessels at once for a period of one or two years with only one processing fee. The app provides:

  • Renewal of one or two years of registration for motor vehicles.
  • Renewal of one or two years of registration for vessels.
  • If the customer registration is missing, you get a duplicate registration.
  • Relevant customer clearance details if there is a stop stopping the vehicle or vessel from being registered.
  • Options for payment: Credit card or Checking Account

You must have a license plate or vehicle identification number (VIN) or hull identification number (HIN) for the vehicle and/or vessel to be registered to complete the transaction in order to renew the registration through the mobile app. No registration will be given if FLHSMV is unable to check the valid insurance on the car or vessel.

Accessible on all mobile devices, MyFlorida enables customers to securely renew their registration for an eligible vehicle or vessel. Until the registration arrives in the mail, consumers may obtain a digital document to use. For consumers paying by credit card, a $4.00 processing charge is added to each transaction, or $3.75 for purchases made through a checking account.
